Doing my PhD studies here, at Mobile Life, in the Generalized Interaction Models project, meaning we spend our time looking at novel ways of interacting, using, carrying, designing... the mobile.
Did some field-work in Vanuatu, looking for different patterns of mobile appropriation, in places where mobile penetration ranged from very present, as in almost everyone has a mobile, to non-existent. The insights provided by these different settings and different mobile experiences is the core of my inspiration for designing new mobile artifacts.
Now writing some results, then start building something concrete from the emerging ideas.
